How the program works+
Eligibility & qualifying Hauls
A qualifying Haul is accepted and completed successfully, and is not canceled, refunded, reversed, fraudulent, duplicated, or disqualified. An active account in good standing is required.
Timing & payment
The 80% payout is calculated from the customer-paid haul price, excluding tips, taxes, separately stated fees, credits, refunds, chargebacks, and promotions unless HAULa states otherwise.
Referrals & milestones
Use the official referral method before your referred driver's first qualifying Haul. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and retroactive claims are ineligible. First-week progress begins with your first qualifying Haul.
Rewards & support
Eligible cash bonuses and cards are delivered within 5–10 business days; merchandise follows separately. If a reward is late, report it through in-app support with the Haul details.
Program rewards and availability may vary by market and are subject to tax reporting, applicable program terms, the Driver Addendum, and HAULa policies.

Use the subject line “Haul Forward” once you reach the milestone.
Haul Forward gives HAULa drivers access to something gig work rarely offers: a professional reference from someone who knows their work. Drivers who qualify can have a conversation with our founder and CEO, Chris Roberts, and then list him as a reference on job applications for opportunities they choose to pursue.
Any driver who has completed five hauls on HAULa and maintains a strong customer rating can apply. There is no cost, and you can apply whenever you reach the milestone.
Once you meet the criteria, email contact@haula.app with the subject line “Haul Forward” to get started. We’ll confirm your eligibility and schedule a call with Chris. The conversation is a chance for him to get to know you, your goals, and the kind of work you’re looking for. After the call, you’re welcome to list Chris as a reference. If a recruiter or hiring manager contacts him, he’ll share what he learned about you from your conversation and what your hauling record on HAULa reflects.
Haul Forward is a reference, not a job placement service, and it does not guarantee that you’ll be hired for any position. By participating, you agree that Chris may share your HAULa hauling history and ratings with employers who contact him about you. HAULa drivers are independent contractors, and any reference will describe your work on the platform accordingly.
HAULa was founded in St. Louis by people who care about this city and the people who keep it moving. Our drivers are hardworking, reliable, and capable of far more than any one job. Haul Forward is our way of making sure the right people hear about it.
